Overview

Beginning in Summer 2027, JCC Maccabi Sports Camp will be joining us at the Ranch!

For years, Maccabi Sports Camp has been a part of the Oshman Family JCC in Palo Alto, California, and created a space for young athletes to grow their skills, build confidence, and be part of a strong, values-driven Jewish camp. At their new home with us in Elbert, Colorado, we’ll create an experience that blends focused sports training with the program highlights at Ranch Camp (the pool, corral, challenge course, mountain biking, and more) with the community and ruach (spirit) that defines life at the Ranch.

So, what does this look like day to day?
Maccabi Sports Campers will spend 3 to 4 hours each day in sports-focused programming, similar to our Equestrian and Outdoor Adventure specialty tracks, while still being part of the larger Ranch Camp community for meals, evening programs, Shabbat, and more.

Who can enroll in Maccabi Sports Camp at the Ranch?

If you are brand new to our community or if you’ve attended Ranch Camp or Maccabi Sports Camp before, any camper going into 5th grade or above can join the program.

What sports are part of Maccabi Sports Camp at the Ranch?

We’re currently planning to offer three to four core sports: Basketball, Soccer, and Sports of All Sorts, but will finalize the offerings soon. Our Sports of All Sorts track will give campers the chance to explore a variety of sports including core sports, lacrosse, flag football, gaga, volleyball, and more. We’ll also be asking for your input as we continue to shape this program.

Have an idea for what sports you want to see in 2027? Let us know!

The Maccabi Sports Camp experience is defined by the overnight camp environment where campers get to develop their sense of self away from home, combined with the warmth and meaning of Jewish community and culture. We cannot wait to welcome the Maccabi Sports campers to Ranch Camp in 2027.
