Equestrian Experience

dscn0066

Entering Grades 5 – 9

Located in Colorado’s magnificent Black Forest, the Ranch Camp presents an unquestionably western experience. We take pride in offering one of the nation’s most extensive equestrian programs to be found in a Jewish setting. Approximately 40 horses are kept at the Ranch Camp each summer. All campers receive exceptional instruction in western riding. American Association of Horsemanship Safety (AAHS) certified and experienced instructors teach riders in our several arenas, and as they ride the trails on the camp’s 400 acres.

The EQ Experience treats campers to an intensive dose of horsemanship. Each EQ camper has his or her own horse for the entire session. Campers learn to ride and care for their horses throughout the session. Campers also participate in interactive trail rides, a horseback riding campout, mounted games, and unmounted horse instruction. Although EQ campers spend the majority of their time at camp riding and learning about horses, they still have the opportunity to experience the other Ranch Camp activities.
